Is it just me or do all these browser companies wait around until opera does something then incorporate that into their next build?

Top of my head:
-Tabbed Browsing
-Speed Dial (Chrome)
-Paste and Go (Chrome)

If they're gonna try to get users in developing countries, I bet they'll get some Opera Turbo function.

Yet opera has little market share... the mind boggles

I've just started using Opera (my FF was crashing a lot for some reason), and i'm loving it. I think the next feature they copy will be Opera Unite. I saw the little icon there for a few days, decided to try it out and i'm pleasantly surprised. It even uses uPnP to sort out the port forwarding for you:P

turbo would be nice for ff, I think opera stole tabbed browsing from someone else.

They did.

What is the Opera Turbo function exactly? It sounds gimmicky.

As far as I understand it, it basically compresses and degrades the quality of web pages to save you some of bandwidth.
Great for expensive data such as 3G surfing...

The fact of the matter is nobody wants to be a fanboi/User of something called "Opera" - we want cool names like Chrome and FireFox.

Would you buy a BMW if it is named "Zippy" and would you take it's "Splashy" branded Brakes seriously? how about it's "Toyzo Balloon Company" branded Airbags?

Ah okay, like Opera Mini

i used Opera because of the Speed Dial function but after awhile i fund that Opera was not saving my information like usernames and passwords etc and that was annoying so i changed to Google Chrome but that crashes often and has other problems but I still use it

I don't think Chrome has crashed on me, ever.

yesterday it crashed and my profile was gone so all my "speed dials" were gone and when i searched for them on google (websites) my saved details were gone. my google chrome crashes almost everyday but that might have something to do with my pc but i don't know as i know nothing about computers.

oh well, perhaps opera's just an acquired taste. And what i like is that the makers usually try to incorporate everything that's needed for the web, eg mail app, newsgroups, etc.
Whatever browser's my fave at the moment, i'll always have trusty ol' opera as a backup

Does anyone remember the good ol' days of Netscape, they used to release suites of applications for the web, you'd get web/mail/design apps bundled in a suite. C'mon Google, come back to the party.

ha ha ha i do not know anything about pcs and i do ask here and that way i learn. sometimes i dont even understand the terminology you guys talk and also in the replies to my problems but i try to figure it out anyway.

my post count is high cause i talk junk and as i don't drink or smoke this is my drug of choice.
