Browsing speed and P2P speed

Hi

I was wondering if any other users have been expereincing relatively slow browsing and extremely slow downloading from p2p programs over the past week...

I used download from p2p at about 50kbps now down to a max of 4kbps.

I got told by Telkom this morning that p2p is shaped so the bandwidth is limited, this wasn't the case until now was it?
 
Yeah same thing is/was (browsing seems fine) happening to me, although I was getting disconnected quite often aswell. I'm sure it is just a temporary thing though, as it has happened before and been rectified
 
same here... P2P is extremely slow
Browsing is fine but not as it used to be
 
My browsing is very slow, I hope they fix it soon. :(
 
OMW, now I am relieved! I got my ADSL a week ago, and so I thought that the speed I'm getting in p2p (no more than 10kb/sec) was "normal"...so it will get better eventually?
 
There is shaping, but certain p2p application are still working quit good. Others like eMule are nearly dead.
 
Just curious: are you folks talking about ADSL+Telkom 3 gig package - or ADSL+ 'other' companies package?
(I'm heading towards adsl (+'other') myself - so was just wondering 'which' adsl package you're talking p2p probs with.. my main reason for adsl is IRC downloads & DC++ downloads..)

If there is a difference in Telkom+3gig and say Axxess+30gig for instance - maybe it might be useful to specify which adsl ones talking about - so you dont scare newbies like me :)
 
i am on the telkom 3GB ISP.
Which P2P programs still do work then?
