Browsing with 3G embedded Netbook

Could anybody explain to me how the heck to set up my 3G sim card and browse using it in my AAO 150 ?

OK , I see that it use globetrotter softwear , but its asking me for a password ????

leave it blank. sometimes the UID and PW is user/user

There shouldn't be a password for globetrotter, leave the user name and password blank

OK will give it a shot , perhaps my sim is not active yet because I only got it yesterday at 2pm .

Try going to Network Connections (from control panel). Create a new connection, you should be able to choose the modem when creating a new connection.

My sim card is now active ,, but guess what ,,,,,, still no connection .
I guess I'll have to wait to tomorrow to take it in and let them sort it out .

I can actually kick myself , after much frustration my sim is not active . I have just tried my cell phone sim and it works fine .

Which network are you using, mtn or voda?? Maybe you need to dial 100 to activate.

Thanks mh , I am on Voda , I did phone them and they say that the sim is active , but because it is a data sim it can take up to 48 hrs

All is good now , was a bit impatient for the sim to be activated
