BSC Comp Sci, B.Com not a Professional degree? (standard bank)

I still find it funny how some people pay all that amount of money in extra bank fees for a different coloured card
so that they can look all important and cool when at the tills at pick and pay.

That's basically what it's about, image.

It's not worth it to sign up for those accounts, you are better off without them.

I got a Standard Bank Cheque Account and my card is blue, it does not give away my salary so I'm happy with that.

EDIT: Just checked the requirements, agg shame. Its says I'm too good to be a blue collar worker but I'm not successful enough have my own private banker.

Yeah FNBs R99 Platinum deal is pretty kewl... nice travel insurance and access to slow lounges @ airports, which is awesome if you travel a lot for work.

Minimum requirement for std bank private banking is ~R660K a year.
Wonder what they charge you for banking fees on that account

I have the FNB young professional portfolio because I studied engineering.

THe people who qualify according to FNB https://www.fnb.co.za/young-professional/young-professionals.html

Have graduated within the past 3 years and have at least a degree or 3 year diploma in the following professional disciplines
Accounting (Completed honours or studied a 4 year degree)
Actuarial Science
Architecture
Engineering: BSc Eng, B.Ing, N.Dip (Eng) or BTech (Eng)
Law (LLB)
Medical (includes dentists and vets)
Earn a minimum gross annual income of R60 000

They also have a portfolio for graduates https://www.fnb.co.za/graduates/graduate-portfolio.html (3 year degree)

So BCom Accounting hounours would let you qualify for professional, but unfotunately not BSC. Maybe if you get your honours you could convince them.
