BSOD 0x000000116 error with nvlddmkm.sys as the file thing!

I started getting Bsod a couple of months ago, and then it just disappeared. Now they are back.

usually after a bsod, i load windows, but then watching video is stuttering when my mouse goesover the edge wehre the bar pops up to give you play and puase options (KM player) and the sound jaggers when that happens too. Also what happens is i lose the voice sound and can only backround music.

I have read many things about this problem. IT seems to me it is not necessarily a driver issue.

i have clean the ddrivers and installed the latest nvidia drivers with no luck. IT always happens from a cold boot. so i think it may be my gt or my mobo that wants to die?

I have

8800GT
GA-pa35-ds3L rev2
2gb AXE ram 1066
2 sseagte sata drives and 1 wd.

WIn7 ultimate 32bit

what other options do I have?

It wouldnt hurt to download the latest drivers for your mobo and do a few mem tests. It could be that or that your mobo is giving up but it could also be your CPU. try ressing the cmos batt, take out for 10 minutes and pop it back in and give it a go, also try and flash the bios. just a few things to try.

The file nvlddmkm.sys is part of your nVidia driver package......so search for tools to completely remove old nVidia drivers and reinstall the latest driver from nVidia.

You should be good to go.....oh, and make sure your power plan in the control panel is set to high performance and not balanced.

cool changed to high performance.

I have downloaded the latest drivers for mobo and I already installed the latest BIOS which is F9 in jANuary. It did help with the stability. I will try and remove all the old nvld*.sys files and see if that makes a difference.

it seem that has worked. also the loss of sound was actually not related to my bsod. My headphones were giving up the ghost! so the key was the removal of all the nvld*.sys files. tHANKS for the help!
