Last week I bought a new Beatles Rock Band collectors edition from BTGAMES clearwater. Set it up over the weekend and the drums are broken!

So on monday I called BT who told me they will not replace the game and i have to call EA directly, pretty lousy way to handle a problem with a R2500 product. Anyway I called EA monday morning and haven't heard anything back from them yet. WTF is wrong with these people.

Last time I buy from BTGAMES.

ps, anyone want to buy beatles rock band with a broken drum controller ??

i bought an x360 last week thursday
the controller was faulty, was like someone was tapping the analog stick left every couple of seconds
i took it back on friday and they told me i need to deal with microsoft in jhb directly myself (from musica in pta at the grove)
this was when i just brought the controller back
so i went home, packed up the entire xbox console and all
went back, put it on the managers table and told them to take their **** back and give me my money back
after a call to ms my controller was exchanged (they _really_ dont want to try sell an open product to the next customer)
inform them u r making a hellopeter post about them - this also will usually speed ur service up
i cannot understand how they can work retail and then not deal with problems of customers - is that not what we pay them retail level markups for?
could have just imported it from overseas for much less if u knew u were going to get no support

my sister is an optometrist - can only imagine if, even if its the labs fault, there is a problem with a patients glassess and she tries to send them back to the lab or the lens manufacturer.... it just is not supposed to work like that

sorry to hear ur problem can imagine how much itd suck (having had a sort of similar experience recently)

if you bought over the last 7 days you can return and get your money back. if you paid with credit card, then just cancel the transaction - standard bank does this and this has worked very well for my in similar cases.

yes.... lets take a thread and pointlessly change the topic over ur useless and unwanted opinion

ja, maybe i should try and return it. looking forward to the argument....not.

anyone ever dealt with EA?

had similar problem with guitar hero drum set - was replaced 3 times by megarom - but they were fairly jacked up - arranged the courier back and forth.

maybe you should try and find out if you can exchange this product at any other BTGAMES. and also write a complaints letter on their website. maybe an add in the national paper would do to.

The reason they are not helping is because; its easier to push the client away when it comes to dealing with broken stock etc. etc.

eish, and i bought games for recreation, not stress..... :(

BT Games are useless. I avoid them as far as possible.

Just return it. It's within your right to return a defective product. Especially within 14 days.

You're not the first on these forums to have trouble with BTGames, and unfortunately it seems that you might not be the last. Really bad customer service on their side to toss you to someone else after they ended up with your money.

Check out this thread if you would like to see another example of a BTGames disgruntled customer:

Good service from megarom, but the drums must be made out of really shoddy materials if they're broken that often. I think the bigger problem for Rock Band owners after they get a fully working set of equipment is that they have to worry about how long its going to last.

ja, i think the instruments are pretty badly made - i'm probably better off just returning it.

When i bought Guitar Hero, the drums were also broken (didnt switch on), i opened it up, ended up being a wire that wasnt plugged in correctly, very shoddy workmanship.

Still bad service on their part but why not open it up and see if it's something simple to fix, as far as i remember there was no way to tell if it was opened or not so you wont lose your warranty.

Megarom was really good with GH World Tour...sad that EA is soo huge adn still doesn't care, same can apply to BT...they have that relationship with the supplier, give the customer some value by taking the time to do the swop...just takes a little bit of time, not like their sales team is busy the whole day improving stuff....i got nothing with BT really (few complaints), but EA should have definitely responded by now. hope it gets sorted bud...
