Budget android recommendations?

Hi all,

A family member dropped their Redmi 4X (32GB) and the screen is broken so looking for a replacement phone.

I could only find the 4X for R2499 from MIA but am wondering if there's a better deal (different phone) I should consider at similar price?

The Redmi Note 5A goes on sale much cheaper on Takealot but i would recommend the Huawei P8 Lite 2017. It's got so much better hardware and it's gotten Android 8.
