Budget friendly VDSL router - need some advice

Current setup is 8mb Adsl line with 300gb cap through WebAfrica. 5 people streaming YouTube, Netflix and Dstv puts a strain on the connection. I am planning on upgrade to 20mb VDSL.

Will this help the situation? If it does, my current router is a Draytek Vigor 2820n. https://www.draytek.co.uk/products/legacy/vigor-2820

Will I need to upgrade my router as well? If so, can you suggest a budget friendly dual band VDSL router?

I hope you got sorted with your DSL router. Some of the local 20Mbps lines use ADSL, while others use VDSL.

As far as I know you can get 20Mbps on both adsl and vdsl, but in order to take advantage of the higher upload speed, you would need a vdsl compatible modem. The maximum upload speed on adsl is 1Mbps. Secondly, Telkom would have to 'upgrade' your profile to vdsl.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am currently on 10Mbps ADSL. I have not taken the jump to VDSL yet. I read that I might get faster speeds on ADSL than on VDSL depending on my distance from the exchange.

I shall have a look at the models you mentioned. I am in Cape Town if you could send me a list of companies who sells the routers it would be appreciated.
