Hi everyone. Has anyone had any experience with Budget insurance?

My brother has been using them for a year now but hasn't had any claims so would love to know how well they handle those.

They've come back to me at half the price of Alexander Forbes...

Well they're part of the telesure group, which consists of Auto & General, Dial Direct, First For Women and Budget, to name a few.

I had no issue with them paying out for my brand new car that was written off. They paid within two weeks.

I can give u a quote with discovery if you want ?

My opinion, stay away from the direct insurer's and always work through a reputable broker.

My broker advised me against them.

Get a broker and use Santam

Same here. I am with Auto & General, and they paid me out within 2weeks as well, had my accident early this month, car got written off, I started looking for a new car and on the 20th I took delivery of the new car.

The Telesure Group have come a long way.

Mother is with First For Women and she's also never had issues with them.

Had a bad experience with a third party claim with Santam but will still consider them. Currently in discussions with brokers as well.

I did get a quote from A&G based on your experience that you mentioned as the process was ongoing :). Marginally more expensive (10% but still a huge saving over Alexander Forbes) and the salesperson was better.

Budget wanted to sign me up there and then. She sounded very disappointed when I said I'd only sign later in the week if I was happy after doing a bit more shopping... Asked for an emailed quote and never received as well!

I use SwanServ as broker and nobody has ever managed to meet the premiums they offer. My policy is underwritten by Zurich and I've claimed several times (3 accidents and replacement of household contents due to water manage) in the past 10 years with no issues whatsoever.

PPS here. They used to be underwritten by Hollard, but they recently started to underwrite their own risk. Best premiums by far. Though I have never had to claim from them yet.

Though with PPS you need a degree.
