Hi All,
I was wondering how does everyone manage their finances? I am not using a Financial advisor at the moment, and use excel for pretty much monitoring my budgets and NAV every month, but i do see a lot of cool software out there like quicken, 22seven, YNAB etc..

Just not convinced on the allowing the software to connect to my bank account.. so wanted to find out how everyone is managing their funds and is the software worth the investments?

Ideally, I would love a one stop shop to see all my personal finances, my savings towards goals, investments and NAV.. right now I have like 3 excels that I update monthly to track this.

Would love your guys opinions and feedback.. thanks

Software was never flexible or accurate enough for me. Transfers between accounts, temporary holdings, etc all still had to be handled manually. It often misclassified transactions and had to do everything manually still. I extended an excel workbook to meet all my needs. It is based on this one: https://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/money-management-template.html

I use the older one as the newer one is too simplified and a lot of the good features were taken out.

I manually enter all my transactions by downloading them in CSV from my bank and copy pasting.

Can' mt really give advice on this one, 22Seven works perfectly for me. However I share your concern about a third party app connecting to your bank account.
