Buffalo Logistics tracking API uses insecure cloud storage bucket

Oh no, someone will find out I bought a Gundam poster, gentlemen, it's been a pleasure, goodbye.

who cares it not like anything is secure anyways details have been long hacked/leaked all over. FCK all these experts and TAKEALOT
Someone getting a data packet that contains your profile photo (whatsapp screenshots) in addition to personal details makes it a whole lot easier to start making your life difficult. Someone on here recently reported their SARS bank account details changed, it was brought up that SARS requires a photo of you holding the date to do this, but anyone with a photo of you can now easily do this.

The bucket contains photos of parcels showing people’s names, addresses, phone numbers, and tracking numbers.

It also has screenshots of WhatsApp conversations between couriers and customers, and photos of the front of people’s houses.
Enough for ID fraud to get rolling.

I’ll let Dr Evil, my WhatsApp image, know to be careful.

Don't worry, the front-end developer expose is on the way.

Carte Blanche episode airs next Tuesday

Has this data leak been verified? Funny how they keep coming after stores that are cheaper than the local stores that rip us off unashamedly. I'm on the fence about the truth in this.

Probably true, but with the scale, and number or reported and verified, breaches alone, a drop in the bucket. No one knows how many data breaches have not been reported.

Security vulnerability in Temu and Shein deliveries in South Africa

Buffalo International Logistics is leaking private customer information through at least one exposed cloud storage bucket.

The bucket contains photos of parcels showing people’s names, addresses, phone numbers, and tracking numbers.
What a shame. I have ordered many things from both Shein and Temu, and have never had a problem, with delivery or quality of the goods I've ordered.
The government slapping a huge import duty on these goods, will definitely impact their sales. What a pity. Their clothes are unique and inexpensive.
