Buffering - Starts around 19:00

Your local towers are over-subscribed, enjoy!

Probably - what bugs me is it tends to happen when streaming or playing games, 2-3 seconds lag in game is not fun. Sometimes a bit more.

As if something kicks in around 19:00 - and the connection which has been degrading slowly, just falls of a cliff.

Speeds, are decent - still - but the experience is not.

End of the day ' the experience is what is important - regardless of what speeds, speed test says you are getting.

Right on *****ing why are you shaping the traffic. Stop asking for

No bro, not doing that dance with you again. You have a detailed log of our last convo, I posted multiple images multiple speed tests... and you never got back to me. Truth is, you are shaping the traffic maybe relay that to your engineering department.

They say they did a port reset, and yes, it is better, but not perfect.

iPlayer, ITVX, ALL4, and STV take awhile to load, then stream fine. Foster Son is going to play till late tonight, Valorant, Rocket League, Minecraft, Fortnight, and Twitch.

Will let me know in the morning.

I suspect the port reset, is moving me to a less throttled profile, then after awhile they move you back to default profile and wait for you to get pee'ed off enough, to come here and bitch.

I am getting tired of the merry go round. I am not to keen on Frogfoot Fiber, but if this keeps up, I am going to move.

If I had the hard drive space, I 'd stay, and pull everything I and the neighbours need/want to watch and hammer the connection with torrents/use net. Which is what it appears to my way of thinking, is what their setup is designed for.

I want to stream, and play games, without buffering or lagging my arse off in-game.

If your priority is to throttle international, streams and servers, then tell me, and I can bugger off and look for a service provider who is more aligned with my needs.

Alternatively, I ask the kids to help getting me some serious hard drive real estate, and setup a torrent/usenet downloading setup, which does not mind your throttling of the connection and stream via my home network. Not what I want to do, but if that is how the Service Provider landscape wants to operate. Well so be it.

Edit:

I don't want faster and faster speeds, I am not downloading Blu-Ray 4K Remux'es. I already have all the speed, I need. I just want to watch my streams without buffering and my Kid's and my gaming experience to not include buffering and lag.

Speed Test after "port" reset

Speed Test this morning

Before "port" reset, I was easily getting half first speed test.

Not that I believe Speed Test mean anything in this context, just a waste of bandwidth, time, and effort, in my opinion.

Well I think we can agree it's often not the actual speed that is the problem. It's the shaping of certain traffic during different times of day. For example this screenshot was taken at 12pm, the stream runs without buffering no problemo :

Now, let's wait for 7pm. Get your curse words ready.

Among my concerns are threads like this Frogfoot thread, which is Frogfoot specific.

Other concerns include the sometimes week or longer to restore service, with bad breaks, that seem typical of fiber recently.

In the same vein, there are a lot of idiots, around operating backackers, doing repairs to other infrastructure, with little or no concerns, regarding disruptions to other services, that exist in their work area.

The Frogfoot Fiber is going to go live towards month end in out area, and the people putting in a power cable to our gate, came too fuggen close to cutting the fiber, before it was in service by our Complex. And they where warned.

This is not just a Frogfoot issue, it is a general fiber service provider concern.
