Bugatti Centodieci Leaked Ahead Of Pebble Beach Reveal

Yesterday we got our first official teaser of the new creation from Bugatti and now thanks to a CarScoops reader, we have first official shots of the very limited and very expensive EB110 Tribute called Centodieci.

Centodieci (which is Italian for 110), is of course named after the EB110 SS. The styling is also heavily inspired by the 90s hypercar. At the front, the Bugatti horseshoe grille is smaller and positioned lower down. There are two horizontal vents on either side of the grille, just like the original, while the headlights are slim strips of LEDs.

On the side, you will see remodelled door skins and some freshly designed side skirts. The clearest cut EB110 SS inspiration is the presence of five small circular cut-outs directly behind the side windows.

The Centodieci will be powered by the same 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine as the standard Chiron. However, we are told that the engine has been upgraded to produce upwards of 1500 hp. This makes it the most powerful Bugatti in history. We also know that the car is lighter than the Chiron and has similar levels of downforce as the crazy Bugatti Divo.

Production will be limited to 10 units apparently each with a tag of €8 million.

Bugatti EB110 Homage Centodieci Leaks Early

Taking inspiration from the Chiron and the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport (produced between 1991 and 1995), the EB110 Homage looks menacing. The most recognisable throwback to the EB110 Super Sport is the 5 cut-outs seen behind the windows and that large rear wing undoubtedly keeps the vehicle glued to the road at speed.

Talking about speed and assuming that the EB110 Homage features the same W16, quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre engine from the Chiron with 1 103 kW and 1 600 Nm of torque, it will smash zero to 100 kph in just 2.4 seconds and go on to reach a top speed of 420 kph.

Reports suggest that only 10 units will be produced with each unit priced at about $8.9 million which translates to an eye-watering sum of R136 337 320 million. Yikes!

Here's The Bugatti EB110-Inspired Centodieci Before You're Supposed To See It

Remember how you were complaining that Bugatti just didn’t make an expensive enough car for you, and how whatever they do make sure feels out of place if you try to take it to Radwood? Buddy, are you in luck, because official pictures have just leaked about Bugatti’s newest low-volume car, a nearly $9 million dollar beast designed to resemble Bugatti’s famous early 1990s supercar, the EB110.

Bugatti Centodieci: EB110 revival leaks ahead of Pebble Beach debut

New hypercar looks to be a radical restyling of the Chiron; official reveal scheduled for later today

Images of a new Bugatti hypercar have leaked online ahead of its official reveal later today (16 August) at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Called the Centodieci in reference to the iconic EB110 hypercar from which it takes styling inspiration, the new model looks to be based on the Chiron production model.

It is likely that, as with the limited-run Divo and one-off La Voiture Noire, the Centodieci will be powered by the same 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine as the Chiron.

Bugatti Centodieci

Exceptional design and vast power have been the hallmark features of Bugatti vehicles for around 110 years. The French manufacturer of hyper sports cars now consistently pursues this path further with the new special-edition Bugatti Centodieci. In addition, Bugatti is echoing its recent history with an exclusive and extraordinary small series.

"With the Centodieci, we pay homage to the EB110 super sports car which was built in the 1990s and is very much a part of our tradition-steeped history," says Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti. "With the EB110, Bugatti catapulted itself to the top of the automotive world once again after 1956 with a new model." It was a crucial interim step for the production facility that was newly founded in Molsheim in 1998, taking Bugatti back to its roots in France, and the first hyper sports car of modern times - the Veyron.

"We are proud of our long Bugatti history, of which the EB110 is very much a part. That's why we're celebrating a reinterpretation of this extraordinary vehicle with the Centodieci - Italian for 110," says Stephan Winkelmann. The EB110 was built in Campogalliano, Italy, but from the very outset it never denied its French influences. Former owner Romano Artioli opened the factory on Ettore Bugatti's 109th birthday - 15 September 1990. Artioli made a deliberate choice in opting for Campogalliano, a small town in Emilia Romagna. The location had a key advantage in the 1990s: it was in the catchment area of several Italian sports car brands, so Artioli was easily able to recruit experienced employees for his project. Artioli presented the super sports car EB110 to the public on Ettore Bugatti's 110th birthday - hence the type designation: EB for Ettore Bugatti, 110 for his 110th birthday.

16-cylinder engine now delivers 1,600 hp

Instead of the V12, the Bugatti Centodieci features the iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine with 1,176 kW/1,600 hp at 7,000 rpm. An additional air inlet in the area of the oil cooler reliably regulates the temperature of the performance-enhanced engine. The Centodieci sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, to 200 km/h in 6.1 seconds and to 300 km/h in 13.1 seconds; the top speed is electronically cut off at 380 km/h. "It's not just the top speed that makes a hyper sports car. With the Centodieci, we once again demonstrate that design, quality and performance are just as important," says Stephan Winkelmann. Compared to the Chiron, the Centodieci saves 20 kilograms of unladen weight. Among other things, a lightweight windscreen wiper and stabilisers made of carbon are used. This enables a sensational power-to-weight ratio of just 1.13 kilograms per horsepower. "The increased power and lower weight further improve performance - for even better acceleration at high speeds. The Centodieci offers our customers an improved power-to-weight ratio and even more dynamic handling," says Stephan Winkelmann.

Bugatti unveils £7.4m limited-run Centodieci hypercar

Ten examples of the EB110-inspired, Chiron-based, 1577bhp Centodieci will be built

Bugatti has paid homage to the landmark EB110 supercar with the Centodieci, the latest limited-edition model based on the Chiron.

Introduced in 1991, the EB110 was the first car launched by Bugatti following its revival by Italian businessman Romano Artioli. While not a commercial success, with just 118 examples made before Bugatti went bankrupt in 1995, it did signpost the future direction of the firm after it was bought by the Volkswagen Group in 1998.

Revealed at Pebble Beach, the Centodieci – meaning 110 in Italian – features a number of elements inspired by the EB110, including a similar grille design, a windscreen that wraps around an invisible A-pillar and a five-aperture side air intake.

Like the Divo that was shown at Pebble Beach last year, the Centodieci will offer a more exclusive take on the Chiron’s mechanical package. It uses the same 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine, tuned to deliver 1577bhp – up from the Chiron’s 1478bhp. Bugatti also claims a 20kg weight reduction.

According to Bugatti, the Centodieci has a 2.4sec 0-62mph time, covers 0-124mph in 6.1sec and can reach 186mph from rest in 13.1sec – 0.5sec quicker than the time claimed for the Chiron. The car is limited to 236mph, compared with 261mph for the Chiron.

Bugatti debuts stunning Centodieci limited edition hyper car worth R135-million, 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds!

Exceptional design and vast power have been the hallmark features of Bugatti vehicles for around 110 years. In August, the French manufacturer of hyper sports cars now pursues this path further with the new special-edition Centodieci.

Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti, said: "With the Centodieci, we pay homage to the EB110 super sports car which was built in the 1990s and is very much a part of our tradition-steeped history.

"With the EB110, Bugatti catapulted itself to the top of the automotive world once again after 1956 with a new model."

The series, limited to ten vehicles (already sold out) and handcrafted in Molsheim, France, will be delivered in two years at unit prices starting from the equivalent of R135-million.

It was a crucial interim step for the production facility that was newly founded in Molsheim in 1998, taking Bugatti back to its roots in France, and the first hyper sports car of modern times – the Veyron.

Stephan Winkelmann said: "We are proud of our long Bugatti history, of which the EB110 is very much a part. That’s why we’re celebrating a reinterpretation of this extraordinary vehicle with the Centodieci – Italian for 110."

The EB110 was built in Campogalliano, Italy, but from the very outset it never denied its French influences. Why Buy A Bugatti Centodieci When You Can Have This F-16 Fighter Jet For Less?

The $8,878,800 (plus tax!) list price of the Bugatti Centodieci really makes you think. The fact that there’s a market for such a preposterous toy is a pretty clear indicator that some people are too rich. Then again–why would you park among peasants in one of these when I could hook you up with an F-16 jet for less?

But actually–I was trawling Facebook thinking about Bugattis mere moments ago when I saw this listing for a 1980 F-16 jet for sale in Palm Beach, Florida with an asking price of $8,500,000. (Call Russ if you want it, but I bet he knows what he’s got.)

“One is from the future and looks like it’s from the ’80s,” my colleague Raphael Orlove observed. And “the other is from the ’80s and looks like the future.” Indeed, the Centodieci is an homage to the Bugatti EB110, borrowing some of its design elements and ostensibly supposed to be just as epic.

The airplane ad is hilariously vague, but I guess you’d have to know what you’re looking at to be in the market for a fighter jet anyway. As to whether or not it’s a good deal, well, the U.S. government is apparently trying to get $1,670,000,000 from the Bulgarian government for eight F-16s, so $208,750,000 apiece. Yeah, I’m going to go ahead and guess that that one in Flordia needs a little more than an A/C recharge.

Bugatti reveals radical R136m Centodieci hypercar with 1176kW

Bugatti is paying tribute to the EB 110 supercar of 1991 with this radical new machine that also happens to be the French marque’s most potent production car to date.

Only 10 of these will ever be made, each one selling for 8 million euro - which is a whopping R136 million in our money.

Fittingly, its name, Centodieci, means ‘110’ in Italian, but let’s get to the exciting stuff first.

The limited edition hypercar is powered by a more powerful version of Bugatti’s familiar 8-litre W16 engine. In this form it produces a whopping 1176kW at 7000rpm, which is 73kW more than you get in the Chiron.

According to Bugatti, the Centodieci, which also happens to weigh 20kg less than its sibling, will shunt from 0-100km/h in just 2.4 seconds, with 200km/h coming up in 6.1 secs and 300km/h in just 13.1 - which is quicker than some entry level hatchbacks can get to 100km/h.

But it’s not the fastest Bugatti in a straight line, with the top speed having been limited to 380km/h, which is down from the Chiron’s 420km/h top end, but since when are you going to find a road to do that kind of speed anyway?

135 million dollars? Ok, so not much longer now until we see the world's first 1 Billion Dollar Car ... and why not? It's only money.
