We are having an issue with our Olivetti printers printing garbage, we have 60 computers and 4 server's.

What we have done.

Disabled all dos based programs.
Disabled system restore.
booted in safe mode.
Run combofix
Run Malwarebytes and removed everything we found.
Our permanent AV is Eset Smart Security.

Still - our olivetti printers randomly print garbage. i.e This program cannot be printed in dos mode followed by asci rubbish.

I have already formatted 9 pc's as well.
I'm thinking it's in someone's Outlook pst file?
Eset is setup to scan emails though.

What operating systems? What Olivetti machines are you using? How are they connected to the network? (Usb to pc then shared or direct to network, or print server?)

Details man details. :p

Garbage from all computers?

Needless to say it'll be a mission to run Hijackthis on each pc and examine each as there is no onsite IT help, I run the branch remotely via Radmin.

Tried Microsoft Security Essentials already but it slowed some machines to a crawl.

Now running a program called Cleanup 4.5.2 which removes all .lnk backup and temps files etc.

Clear all print queues and instruct the operators to reset the machines (printers). (power off for a minute).

Cleared all print queues already, reset olivetti, it only prints to an olivetti printer, the HP's are not affected.
setup a batch script to stop spooler service, remove everything from spool\printers folder and restart spooler on their next boot.
