Lockdown forced many to work from home. But not everyone have the space. I am thinking a similar shed type design in the back yard would be nice. Maybe even something that can be transported again if you move. A wendy house can probably work as well, although not very portable and higher maintenance than steel or PVC.

What would it cost to build something similar in SA?


For the shed, I quick google gave me this for imported sheds:


Anyone feeling inspired enough to help list a complete system(s) and links to products and prices?

I think a 1.5-3Kva system should work for most?
 
In terms of portability, build on a trailer.. this SA guy had a trailer built and used it for a tiny home, all in it was just over 300k..

Since you are just looking at an office space, arguably you wouldn't need to go as high as this and you wouldn't need as much as this guy did to build himself a home inside.. I would imagine you could the get away at around 200k including a small solar setup..

I like it, but half of the roof (and therefore the solar panel mounting structure) is facing the wrong way.
It would be more efficient to design the roof with one single 26 degree slope (for SA).
 
Well, I think if it is possible you may want to just buy a disposed ISO container 40ft and do some minor modifications to it to convert it into your office. It will be very cheap to do and the interior and exterior can be made to look very high class. It is also potable and you can fit enough panels on your general office requirements, if you use your +500w panels.
 
Probably won't need more than one of the 1500w trolley setups that can take a single 300w panel. Unless you mine crypto or blow dry hair for a living.
 
How about a container? They're pretty cheap, easy enough to modify for things like windows if you're half decent with a grinder and a welding machine:
