Building a wall.

Hi.

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I could not find any other relating forum...

We are knocking down a front prefab wall en replacing it with a single, semi-face brick wall.

Do we need any plans or notify any authorities of our planned construction?

Depends on what you want to do and the bylaws in your area.

For eg, in Durban you only needs an engineer if your boundary wall is over 1.8m high... and if the wall is already on plans, i doubt you need to submit plans.

As long as the original plan showed a wall, you should not need any alterations in that regard.

If you stay in Cape Town you need to contact the municipality for everything as they have new regulations & bylaws about perimeter walls.
