I like your way of approach to get to know PHP.
Your scenario is exactly what I did a few years back.
I created my own ERP system, But never completed it because in the back of my mind I was hoping I could sell it, but security was an issue
And no company would invest in an ERP with no support and Iwasnt willing to also support it.
My Knowledge on ERP systems are based on Accpac, (Calling Accpac an ERP is debatable I know please don’t quote me)
A tip I can give is to take a modular approach so that each module is able to operate without the other and be consistent with how you go about.
Its up to you but I started with the setup screens of each module I.E Inventory Locations, Categories, Customer Accounts, and Limits ect ect, then moved over to the actual Ordering, Receipting screens.
Warning though its going to be allot of work
