Built a Windows XP era gaming rig

So I was spring cleaning my man lair and piled a bunch of hardware together that I was about to throw out, then an idea hit. A retro gaming rig (2005 is retro, right?). Out of all the crap I put together this:

AMD Athlon XP 2800+
2GB DDR400
GeForce 4 Ti 128MB
Nvidia nForce2 main board

Loaded up Windows XP and started jamming GL Quake.

Probably going to get bored of it by the end of the weekend and throw it away anyway, though. Just thought it was a nice nostalgic project

Thats a nice little XP rig , a bit under powered GPU wise tho,

It makes sense having a XP machine, there are still some games with poor to non-working windows 7-10 compatibility

I actually have several computers dedicated to running windows 3.11 and 9x , its a lot of fun and there are a lot of us on vogons that like that sort of thing.

PS if you do get tired or bored of it , let me know , I might buy the components from you

I have 6800GT lying around somewhere, just having a hard time finding it.
