About 6 weeks ago i suffered a bulged or herniated disk, I have recovered and the pain is gone but i have lost strength in my left arm and have some numbness in my thumb, index and middle finger, I cant do push ups as it feels like my arm is going to buckle underneath me. Anyone have any ideas on exercise's I can do to regain strength.

How sure are you the disc is fully recovered and all your nerve function is 100 percent?

I'm not sure on both of those. But surely there is something I can start doing, as the pain is gone. yoga maybe?

The chiropractor already took all my money eish...... Guess maybe just wait a bit more.

If you feel numb or weak you have not recovered.

Chiro and Physio treats the symptoms if its a skeletal issue. Do yourself a favour and have an X-ray (assuming you have not already). Its the only way to be 100% sure what's actually wrong.

Even if it shows nothing that's useful info as it indicates its a soft tissue (nerve or muscle) issue.

And +1 on seeing a biokinetecist. They are trained to help you exercise for recovery. Even yoga can make certain injuries worse - made that mistake myself.

Go and see a neurosurgeon. There's a good chance your nerves are impinged and damaged.

It took a good year for the nerves in my neck to fully recover after I had my herniated discs replaced.

Unfortunately no medical aid, self employed, so in between a rock and a hard place.....
