Hi Guys,

I seem to have come undone on what I think should be a simple matter. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

My websites Platform - Wordpress 4.1.10

The requirements:

- Send Bulk e-mail to 4,500 subscribers 3-5 times per month
- Bulk mail to include PDF attachment(s)
- Analytics as close as possible to Mailchimp
- As cost effective as Mandrill

I understand best practice is to link to the PDF in a conventional newsletter, however the requirements are for physical attachments on the bulk mails.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The most cost effective solution would be Sendy.co.

Once off purchase of $59 and is self hosted. It's not the simplest option out there but they make it pretty straight forward if you know anything about hosting.

It supports attachments and uses AWS services. Used it at my previous job and works a charm.

Try Sendy.co I just checked the demo and it loks like it allows attachments.. It works in Conjunction with Amazon SES, Sendy is a self hosted service with a one time cost of $59 and then Amazon charges around $0.10 per 1000 emails so it's probably the cheapest option.

I have managed to integrate Mandrill into the site and then using the Tribunal plugin for wordpress to execute the mails. Tribunal then uses Mandrill's SMTP to send out the mails and includes the attachments as needed. There are analytics, but they are not as in depth as Mailchimps.

Tribunal has a once off fee which is an easier pill to swallow than the monthly costs from Mailchimp. It also has a fair enough composer for a novice user. Mandrill then has 2,000 free mail sends, however for a mere $10/month allows for up to 25,000 sends, after which it is then $0.20/thousand.

I will definitely look into the Sendy solution, as it seems it is the best route to follow from here on out for future customers as well.

Thanks for the assistance guys :)
