Bundled Vs Unbundled Contracts

You get a modem included in the monthly price of the bundled contract which ties you in for 24 months.

You pay upfront for your modem on the unbundled contract and can cancel your contract on 30 days notice.

Either way, you still get shafted with crappy service, no support and overpriced, slow, capped bandwidth.

Go with unbundled if you can afford to buy the modem once-off. At least if iBurst becomes really bad or some miracle happens and adsl gets good and cheap you're not stuck having to pay WBS for 2 years.

I think you end up paying R200 less for the modem if you enter into a 24 month contract. But the question is whether you are willing to say now you will definitely be satisfied in 2 years time. As said, if you can afford the modem go with that option.

is the modem yours after the 24 months?

Yes, but by that time it would have turned into a paper weight on your desk.

We've got the message. Go have a cold shower.

Gald to hear it.

And I will keep on making it obvious until such time as WBS get the message.
