Hey so I have a severe pain in my right foot at the side of the joint connecting my big toe to my foot.

However I can't see an distinguished deformation compared to my left foot they both look the same.

Is it Thor
Sorry had to
Had lots of red wine or red meat or even acidic foodstuffs lately?

LOTS of red wine.... ( but it can't be gout I'm so young)

Edit : I have no idea what gout feels like so can't diagnose myself which I fcking hate. I'm a self sufficient human by nature.

It only pains once I apply pressure for instance walking flat footed if I put all the pressure on the out side of the food I feel no pain.

then its probably not gout. Do your toes lock up ?

when the pain comes use indomethicin capsules they fairly cheap if you dont have stomach ulcers or asthma etc

Sounds like gout...it is a real bitch of a pain...check out what your body ph is...you will find you are rather acidic...get some calcium magnesium supplement, will sort out your ph issue, and the uric acid in your blood, that is the cause of the gout

Shiat!

Will look into that asap

Thanks so much

You'd know if it's gout. It starts off as a slight pain or itchiness, then progresses to pretty severe pain and then finally to ****ing agony where you want to cut the toe off just to escape the pain. You can't walk, can't sit and definitely can't sleep. If a sheet or blanket touches the toe, it feels like coarse sandpaper being scraped against your skin.

Your toe will be red and slightly swollen, but it might not be obvious especially early on. Anti-inflammatories can help with the pain, but it's probably better to go see a doctor.

And yeah, young people get it too. Seems to be related to lifestyle and genetics, not really age so much.

Edit: Although the first attack is normally pretty mild. I've had 2 and the second time was definitely much worse. And longer.

It sounds like gout. First time I had it, I actually thought I'd broken or sprained my toe in my sleep somehow. And from what I gather, the few attacks of it I've had were pretty mild.

Yep, what TJ99 said.
It is so painful you will think the toe is broken. I have often said that there is no way something can hurt so bad. I usually take Dicloflam and it helps. I have also honed it down to what causes my gout and its a variety of meats. Meaning, if I eat a variety of meats like wors, steak, lamb and pork all together at a braai, then 2 days later I turn into an invalid.

With me it runs in the family so find out if any other aunts or granparents have it.

Confirmed it's Gout.

Dad and Grandfather on both sides of family has it.

Not what I was hoping for, change of lifestyle here I come.

More Squads more cleans more bicarbonate of soda, less Red wine
