Hi

Anyone know what I can use to create a DVD player readable disc of avi's ?

Example a "data" burn can take about 12 episodes of linux, but a dvd player cannot read that disc.

I tried some AVI to DVD converters, but either the quality is low or you get very few episodes on a DVD.

Thanks
George

Just buy a dvd player that supports DivX and has a USB port. No need to convert and create DVDs any more ;)

DIVX files under AVI containers can be read by a DVD Player. You need to be sure that the file is DivX and you can burn it to data discs.
This way, your DVD player can read AVI files.

If your file is not DIVX, it can't be read by your DVD player.

Download this little software called FAVC It can convert AVI to DVD formats that can be played by any dvd plaver. it converts a full movie in less than 20min, be free to pm for more help if u get stuck.

The time it takes will be dependent on the system used (old = slow).

Aha, it also require .NET to be installed. Fail!
