"Greetings!
World of Warcraft: the Burning Crusade is now available for online upgrade and download. This online upgrade feature will upgrade one standard World of Warcraft account for access to the Burning Crusade expansion content, including new races, zones, and expanded level cap for $29.99 US. This online upgrade is not needed if you currently have an unused Burning Crusade authentication key. If that is the case, please go to
http://upgrade.worldofwarcraft.com/ to upgrade your account.
In order to upgrade your account you will need to log into your account through the Account Management Page. The only payment methods accepted for this service are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. After requesting the upgrade, your account should be automatically updated and you should not need an authentication key.
This online upgrade requires an existing standard World of Warcraft account. It is not possible to upgrade a Guest Pass account using the Burning Crusade online upgrade. If you have a trial account, and would like more information on upgrading to a standard retail account, please email
[email protected].
**PLEASE NOTE** Unlike the standard edition of World of Warcraft, the Burning Crusade does not include any additional play time. Expansion users may continue to use the same subscription plans available to all accounts; there is no additional monthly fee.
