I had a throat infection for which I took clindahexal [antibiotic] - it cleared but it seems infection has spread down to lungs (coughing up phlegm).

This in itself is relatively normal but at the same time I have developed a burning itch in all my upper extremeties. Specifically chest, back and head, only when I sweat though - so in the morning if I take a hot bath or in the afternoon if I run.

Not a mild burning itch, fairly severe - and I turn red very quickly if I scratch - no raised bumps or hives as far as I can tell.

Any ideas? Don't particularly feel like going to doc again

- I also feel like I am not getting enough air - this is probably complete paranoia though

Have you checked your sinuses?

I had what I thought was a throat/chest infection two weeks ago. Turned out to be a sinus infection and all the crap was pouring down into my chest while I slept.
Surprised the hell out of me because I thought my sinus was clear.

I have always itched quite badly after bathing or sweating and tried different soaps and oils but nothing really helped. After the last time I took antibiotics I had red spots all over my body all of a sudden (not sure if its related at all) but went to the doctor who said its nummular eczema. She told me to use Epizone E ointment as body wash, bath in lukewarm water as fast as possible and put E45 cream all over my body afterwards. The spots are going away and I haven't itched since the day I started following her advice.

I also sometimes feel like I breathe in but no oxygen is coming in but also get chest and shoulder pain. The Dr said I should exercise more or harder..... And I am known to have high levels of stress and anxiety so I doubt breathing has to do with your skin.

Thanks for input googoo - def had sinus infection - but it seems to have cleared up with tonsils - might be residual mucus.

Hey Sam - I am good thanks - when we doing BK

Go to the doctor. Forums/google are extremely helpful most of the time but honestly for this sort of thing go see a doctor.

If you are coughing up phlegm you surely have a nasal drip, so sinutabs would be best to deal with nasal drip, dry it up thus no sore throat and no phlegm in lungs. You could get bronchitis or have it already, once the infection hits your chest, you are in trouble.

Go see the doctor. http://www.webmd.com/lung/tc/acute-bronchitis-symptoms

Sadly forum users cannot prescribe you the rights meds but your doctor will and it sounds like you better get there ASAP.

Itch could be some kind of fungus or yeast - did you take probiotics with your antibiotics?

No probiotics - bleh - do think its bronchitis - phlegm is thick - can actually feel it sitting in there, I battle to breathe in or out without coughing. Made appointment with doc for 5pm

You n Shaun should just have an orgy and get it out of your system - this homosexual projection is getting tiring :P

Well you should be spitting and not swallowing unless by accident. Gay stuff never gets old.

Chevron basically covered your question.
