What do I need to know to get this job?
• Degree in Information Systems preferred
• Diploma in Business Analysis
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience with managing stakeholders expectations
• Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
• Business Analyst experience in the Retail or Financial Industry
• Ability to obtain descriptive and exhaustive requirements from stakeholders
• Good understanding of project scoping
• Bonus: BBusSci IS, Strict SCRUM and experience writing User Stories, exposure to ETL and data warehousing, card payments & processing experience
What will I do every day?
Work closely with the head of business development
Communicate project status with directors via electronic channels
Elicit requirements in the form of user stories from all areas of the business
Maintain a steady backlog of requirements that are ready to go into development sprints
Break down large projects into distinctive achievable pieces of work
Liaise with the Development Team for estimation on work
Assist in prioritisation of development work to maximise return on investment
Conduct requirement workshops (JAD & Interviews)
Work with the QA department to ensure development matches business requirements
Track and document project developments and update on the product feature backlog
Assist in drafting user and training documentation for new features
Liaise with various industry intermediaries around service integration and product offerings
