How is everyone dealing with these power cuts especially small businesses?
They are honestly hurting business, We have made plans with solar and are still afloat but its still affecting many in different ways how are you guys coping with these power cuts and economical situations?

Awful. Lost about 50% of my clients since September last year.
Busy selling property, downscaling and will be solarEd up sometime this winter.

Was already living way below my means, and thank goodness for those savings.
But yeah, unfortunately you need electric to do gud job)

Wow that is really a situation you went through it is extremely terrible whats happening wishing you all the best
 
many small Businesses are going bust or getting out of dodge sooner rather than later.

its quite sad seeing once promising businesses add another expense (Diesel/Solar/UPS) on top of their already constrained finances and red tape.

its like the Government wants to eradicate all small businesses, how very strange.
 
Had to invest in inverter and batteries (~R60k). I work from home, so I needed to be online all the time.

Now the uncertainty is fibre connectivity. Need to invest in a backup, but cellular reception is bad for me (corrugated roof).

Indeed. I feel you on this one. They can't conceive of the problem (which shouldn't be a problem in the first place).
 
I am down bout 30% from normal turnover over 1st quarter. Load shedding has minimal impact on store, (Industrial Coatings supply) but massive knock to many customers, and I am feeling that.

I totally agree the government should really be doing something to help businesses keep them self up and fix the problem. And it is really sad seeing businesses start up and close down its tough out here and you are right the cost of small businesses trying to keep them self up with solar and all the other options is really a bank breaker
something businesses should not have to worry about. wow what a country we have

i Hate it its just an irritation honestly 4 hours is already bad now to have it 3 times a day while working the government makes it seem like it should be something normal

thats alot of money just to keep yourself up and running wow , but what can we really do hey we all need to keep on going because it business.
