City power says they sent somebody out yesterday but he didn't have the right tools. What a freaking joke.

Seriously though, the City Power thinkg is a joke. I'm on prepaid, and sometimes have to wait 2 or 3 days after sending the pin to get the number to put into the meter. Terrible.

Turns out they tried to steal the power cables again over the long weekend.
They hacked halfway through the cable and were then interrupted and fled.
Anyway, the power finally came back on about an hour ago... but now we notice there are a bunch of things not working, probably blown through a power surge.
This would have been the third time in two years that the cables were stolen.

Cape Town not always better off, I sat without power for almost 2 hours yesterday and it was again off from around 3:30 this morning to just before 10.
