Businessweek - Advice To Students: Pack A Mac

It's all about the level of care that the brand owner puts into the product, you always get the feel that the basic design at Apple is done with more intelligent thought than you see from any other vendor.
You need only look at the macbook to understand that, the keyboard the non-standard screen size the magsafe connector... and the list goes on. This is a sign of a company that needs to innovate to survive, the rest can live happily in their Windows mudhole and compete on that basis.

The main reason why you should buy a Windows based PC is for LAN party's while you are in University.

As built by AsusTek and FoxConn in China using the same Intel components and motherboard designs like they do for Dell and HP :).
So - I dont care who makes them as long as they're made with the same quality as ever - when that slips then I'll start to be concerned. :)

My boss used to go through a Dell laptop per year - they would simply fall apart, keys would drop off, the case would crack, the list goes on - Compaq's the same. Swapped it out for an iBook of all things and two years later not a single minute of downtime. For that I gladly paid more - now I dont have to.
