I see many people that used to be happy on the r250 rain package but now they are cursing and are unhappy because they moved to the unlimited 24/7 lol. If something works, do not change it. Lesson learnt. I am happy on my 250pm package and i am not switching to the 24/7 one.

Us R 250 package clients must enjoy it while it lasts. We are soon going to find ourselves in the company of their fixed lte clients when the network became congested.

So long we that’s on the 250 rand package stays there ... I’m not moving it don’t matter if they have many people on there network they will look after what makes there network a success which is the 250 packages ... that’s a fact all they need to do it’s build more network cell towers or keep asking government for more spectrum like they are doing now for This lockdown after a few months trust me it will be perfect

But why? Because... that's why.

I'd have to say that if they are complaining, it is because there is NO DIFFERENCE between R250 and the 24/7 service. It is advertised as though it is an upgrade, but everyone will be let down.

In March I was having the worst experience with my R250 connection thus far (one year in) as there was no signal at all. When I eventually got someone in Chat to assist - it took them an hour going through their scripts - to take my word on the problem. Their eventual reply; "Oh, yes, I see that your tower is down. The engineers are working on it."

Thinking that I might be able to "upgrade" as per the advertising, I queried the difference between the 4G packages and EVENTUALLY got the response of: "If you have already experienced the 4G unlimited (o)ff-peak, then you will now what the outcome would be with the new sim".

... meaning that the only benefit of "upgrading" is to get access during the 18:00 - 23:00 window. You will see NO performance increase (or rather their intention is not to improve anything), so our individual experience will vary as normal.

I'm still considering changing to the 24/7 one, just for the extra hours. :sneaky:

Don’t makes sense to pay all most anything 250 for a few hours if the 250 package don’t give you decent speeds what will the 490 deal do ...
