Buy data on a BIS100?

I'm thinking of getting this contract purely to get a Torch (yes - silly, but I'm a gadget freak)

Can one purchase data on it like other contracts? It'd be awesome if I could still make use of the contract somehow

I have a similar question so I'll semi-hijack your thread.

I'm on a BB Talk 75 contract and I found an app that only works through direct TCP, not BIS, so can I buy a data bundle and have the app chew MBs off there instead of having a surprise in my account at the end of the month?

I think that you can't convert the existing as its minutes as opposed to Rands You can only add a data bundle$

Contracts that give Rands (ie Top up) can be converted ...

Hello guys. You can not buy data bundles on the Blackberry Talk 100 and Blackberry 500 contracts. We are unable to load data bundles to those. If you have a normal Talk contract with BIS added on as a VAS, then adding a data bundle for you will not be a problem.

You can not use your Talk minutes to buy data. We had to bolt it on as a VAS for you and it will be added on your invoice as a separate item.

The Blackberry Torch is offered on the normal Talk packages, such as your T130 and T240 etc. You can take out that and add BIS as a bolt on....and then you will still be able to add a data bundle. Your Talk minutes will carry over for up to 6 months....after that your oldest months will fall away....so you should really try and use it.
