HI

Anybody on here know where a person can buy sencond hand goods from? Starting a new section and we trying to source where to get 2nd hand goods to sell off.

Or who to contact at the big corporate companies to speak to about all there old digital equipment to buy from them.

also insurance companies who do I contact there in connection with buying recovered goods or partially watered damaged items but it is still fixable to sell again.

Your advice would be very helpfull.

Regards

Eon

Well insurance companies is not the way to go i don't think.

You should try and find out where auctions for company assets are held. Loads and loads of second hand stuff goes on auction everyday due to the amount of companies hitting the wall.

That my friend is a good question, phone a few banks and see if you can find out.

If i had a lot of money i could make millions buying repossessed cars and house for instance so phone the banks and find who does their auctioning. Shake it won't be on google bud. They do not advertise the auctions as many people make a living buying repossessed items.

but see we do not want to go the expensive route like cars, anyways no one is buying cars now, we just looking for digital items anything electronic.

if they are not advertising it then who do they auction it off to, the trees ?

surely they want people at their auctions - I don't think they care that people make a living off of buying and selling the stuff they want to sell?

Yea that is true but they most prob make it that only companies can buy and not the individual. Something like suppliers are suppose to be

Aucor has auctions where they also clear out offices.
Have a look - there are bound to be a few.
When I was scouting for cars - there'd at least be two office related auctions as well (nationally though).
But they Auction anything - perhaps Claremart is something to look at as well.

Otherwise watch your local papers classifieds and ads.

will do... thanks for the rapid response guys.... I know I can always really on the myBB community

Jah man - you can rely on us too ;) :)

Good luck with the hunting - it's time consuming at auctions.
The liquidated company will usually try and get away with the good stuff before it goes to auction.
But no mistaking that there are bargains to be had.

There is no need to advertise as it is only a select few who can walk into a bank auction and pay 1 million for a house CASH and buy 10 cars totaling another 1.6m CASH. Not many people can go into these auctions and drop 2m CASH on items. You can make so much money if you have millions. House and cars sold at 50-70% of what they are worth.

Auctions, check the new paper listings for liquidation auctions, normally held by the Sheriff of the courts.
Some tips:
1) Always go before the auction starts and inspect the goods.
2) If you have the cash, make an offer for everything or a whole lot of items to the auctioneer before the start of the auction.
3) You run the risk of non working items but generally if it's a liquidation auction (company, hotel, stores) most of the items will be working.

I generally buy from guys who buy the above.

Im still looking for a PCI graphics card that has DVI output - nothing availbale new :(
