Why not. Almost every part in my and my son's pc's are secondhand from carbonite. And still going strong for almost 4 years. But again, I would only buy secondhand from Carbonite from well-known trusted members.

But that gpu is overpriced. You can get a RX 480 or RX 570 4gb cards for 1K that will probably get double the fps.

Where do you draw the line?
You need to take into consideration the part/age/price/warranty vs price of new

CPU's/GPU's might have been OC to death.

I've bought loads of refurbished PC's before for a decent price and they come with warranty so it's a no brainer.

That is the same concern I have. One does not know how hard they have pushed it.

That and whether you’re willing to lose the cash.
Have a phone call with the seller. Everyone has a videophone in their pocket these days. Let them demo it over the phone. Do a true caller lookup on the number. Get an address even if you don’t pick up in person, ask for a WhatsApp pin. Etc.
Nah, in this case I would not bother. It's too small for me.

I just wanted other peoples opinions on the matter.

Well that depends on how much you spend. When you start looking at 4-5k or more, then you can consider the difference to a new card with warrantee. But for cheap just take a chance.
My son's card we bought relatively cheap and I am sure it was mined with. It had some oil stains/residue on the bottom and from google it said its from working hard and heat.
We have never even repasted that card. That card worked day and night during Covid playing games and is still going perfect.
