Buying a 2nd hand hybrid?

Is buying a 2nd hand hybrid/EV advisable? How long do the batteries last? Suffering with the petrol price blue's and ICE is on the way out. Any advice welcome. Thanks Gerard

batteries cost more then the vehicle,
always remember that when it comes to hybrid/EV's

also remember even if one cell out of 100 in the entire battery is weak,
entire capacity decreases, and those cells aren't designed to be swapped out easily.

if you can find a Hybrid/EV with warranty still left, maybe its worth it,

Toyota has 8 years and 195 kms on their batteries, so it depends how second hand you want to buy, if it's an old car it's better to check with the dealer.

Not really, the batteries in the hybrids are smaller than those in full EVs.

This article from 2017 will give you a rough idea, sure prices have come down since then.

Agree, but the end is inevitable. My other option is to get a small automatic, this is because my clutch foot is getting weaker (ou toppie siekte!). Any recommendations?
