Do you clever people recommend buying a double cab new or second hand?
If you say second hand, what's some good recommendations for buying second hand vehicles?

I bought one second hand, had only 40 000km on the clock and a 2007 model. Saved me R130 000 from the price for a new one. Got it 6 months ago and never looked back, it was in a perfect condition and still is in a perfect condition. But I did my research & window shopping for a few months before the time till I found the right buy.

See thats the kind of thing i am looking for. Where did you eventually buy it from?

I didn't buy a double cab but a single cab. 3 months ago 2009 model with 50k on the clock. I bought mine from a toyota dealership so that i can take it back if anything is bothering me. Also if your budget allows it buy a bakkie that is still under warranty because you never know how the previous owner drove it.

The AA sales centre is agood place to start. You basically buy a vehicle privately but the AA stands as a middle man to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, has no latent defects etc. They also supervise the transaction.
