Buying a Mac from avo.africa

I'm eyeing the new Macbook Air M5 that is available for a discount at Avo.Africa. They even include a year worth of insurance.

BUT: I was wondering if it is possible to buy the extended Core/ iCare warranty and add it to these machines?
That implies:
- Are Avo selling gray products / official products, and
- Can I buy the warranty somewhere else (e.g. from https://www.macnificent.co.za/colle...ed-warranty-for-mac-computers-2-year-extended) and still apply it?

Weirdly enough they do sell an extended warranty, but:
- It loooks like it comes from FirstShop
- Mentions "ASBIS" which I have no idea what it means, and
- Says this: This warranty add-on is only available when purchased together with a new Apple device from FirstShop. It cannot be applied to devices bought elsewhere

Avo stuff are the original products but I would recommend asking them about the extended warranty. I am confused though because the AvoWarranty seems to give you an additional year for free? So you get 2 full years of warranty it would seem.
 
Ok, from what I can see:

1. AVO is a Authorised Apple reseller in South Africa. Reason: https://core.co.za/pages/apple lists them as a "retail partners":

2. From the extended warranty information on Core's own website: https://core.co.za/pages/extended-warranty

a) I have to register the extended warranty while the Macbook is still in the first year of it's original Apple Hardware warranty

b) It extends the original 1 year warranty by 2 years, thus giving me a total of 3 years:

c) it isn't valid for Apple devices bought outside of the "official Apple Channel" -

So connecting it all together mean that I should be able to buy the extended warranty from https://www.macnificent.co.za/collections/extended-warranties or even https://www.takealot.com/core-exten...e-with-macbook-air-2-years-exten/PLID99752923 and register it on my Macbook purchased from AVO as these are all official Apple Resellers (although Macnificent isn't listed, but they previously had Core register the warranty on the machine I bought from them).

Is it superfluous if AVO already gives me a warranty? Possibly. But like I said - I have no idea how good AVO's insurance is and who they use to repair the device and I'd rather Core repair the device (I've been down that road of using unofficial Apple repair shops before). And having 3 years on a bloody expensive machine makes me sleep a bit better at night.

The Apple products on AVO comes via ASBIS? And not Core? So the Core warranties may not be valid? Then perhaps the ASBIS warranty that they had on there is the one to get... except that they say you have to buy it from the same retailer together with the machine.

I did ping AVO and their response on the chat seem to indicate that the ASBIS warranty offered isn't valid (and incidentally it also seems to be out of stock now).

Bot retard by the looks of it.

Asbis is as good as Core on all levels as an official Apple Distribution Partner.

You can also buy from Amazon.co.za and it will be Asbis.

Whether the exact product comes from Core or Asbis really doesn’t matter and as long as Avo says they’ve added the warranty you will be sorted.
