Hi Zenbaas

Sounds fine for a "bit of gaming" and graphics ;)

There are a few places worth mentioning including Sybaritic and Cyberdyne however I would recommend that if you are buying this as a complete system u actually ask them to quote for it as a complete system. It'll save you a few bucks as the markup dealers add is usually more for individual components than a complete system.

Also unless you need it I wouldn't purchase a motherboard with an onboard video if you're going to purchase a separate video card unless you specifically require more than one video card. Some motherboards have limitations in terms of operating both simultaneously (various reasons) or they share the same bus.

go for the 4800+ 2.5Ghz Brisbane core AMD CPU, it runs cooler and is better bang for buck. anything with a Windsor core is old stock most likely at the old prices too.

Thanks for the advice guys.Uhmm how much "better" would these graphics cards be than the one i stated up top..?As there is quite a price difference. And am i over-killing with the ram?(4gb)
NX8500GT MSI NX8500GT-TD256E-HD, 256MB 16X PCI-E (DVI, TV-Out, SLi)
NX8600GT MSI NX8600GT-T2D256E-HD, 256MB 16X PCI-E (DVIx 2, TV-Out, SLi)
NX8600GTS MSI NX8600GTS-T2D256E-HD, 256MB 16X PCI-E (DVIx 2, TV-Out, SLi)

Most boards these days have onboard graphics, don't worry about it. However, try to get DDR2 800Mhz memory. It shouldn't be that much more expensive.

Don't even think of the 8500, it's completely useless. a 7800GT should be faster than all those cards. best to wait untill the nvidia 8900 series come out and then buy an 8800GTS 320MB.

In joburgh, the best prices around are from supersunbird. pm him for excellent advise and good prices. I don't know the guy at all, but he's helped a lot of people on this board and everyone is always supremely happy.

nope, but should'nt be more than a coupla months now.

Sorry on the ram issue again,At 800mhz is 4gb excessive or wil 2gb suffice?
