Buying a new LCD

Hi

I recently sold my trusty LG 17" 8ms LCD. No I am looking to upgrade to something bigger.

I'm looking for something secondhand, but because I live in a regional district, no one wants to ship one to me. My budget is about R1000, as that is the default price for a 22".

But after two weeks I still have nothing, I looked into brand new screens. (Unfortunately I couldn't get to GAME for the P2450). So I saw this:

This is a decent 22" screen with Full HD, 5ms response time for R1299. But what worries me is that has a VGA-input. Will I see the difference between digital and analogue? Is it the money worth?

Please help me! (Especially if you have a offer for me!)
 
Does it only have VGA input? Personally I'd say get something with a digital input.
 
yea. gotta have at least dvi. pref. hdmi. (future proof) unless your gonna buy another one in a year... the actual video quality bwtween dvi and vga is hardly discernable unless you have some weird interference happening somewhere in your computer.
 
IkonicIt has a Benp T2200 for R1315, which has Dvi and is full hd. Good screen?

The pcint one is the same one in top of the thread.

It looks as the same as the one to the link you posted.(I have this screen and am really happy with it) I will check the model in the morning. The special was on till the 1st of August.
 
Is it possible to plug in a ps3 into a monitor with this spec? Is it possible to plug a ps3 into a normal lcd pc monitor?
LG 23" Wide LED, 1920x1080 5000000:1 5ms, D-sub, DVI-D, HDMI, Full HD

Also would you say that R2100 is a decent price for this?
 
Yes you can plug in a PS3 because it has HDMI. R2100 is alright, you can get a non-LED for cheaper though. I don't believe the 5 zillion to one contrast ratio marketing stuff though.
 
You can also hook up a PS3 to an LCD without HDMI. All you need is a HDMI to DVI adapter for video. To get sound you'd have to hook up your RCA cables and get an adapter so that you can plug in headphones or a speaker jack.
 
Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I felt it pointless to start a new thread dealing with the the same thing, so I hope you guys will overlook it with regard to the following issue I have:

Need some advice on which one to get:

Samsung LC 2494 or Samsung P2450H? Both are priced the same, 'cept the P2450H has 2ms response time and HDMI. I Guess what I'm asking is, which is the better screen?'

how much is an adaptor about? My 2 options are a) LG 23" full for 1399 or a 23" with dvi or b)23" samsung with an HDMI Port, full HD for 1800
 
Incredible Connection have the Samsung B2330H LCD monitor for R1799.99 until the end of the month. It has HDMI and DVI.
