Buying a prepaid SIM

I get all my bills electronically so I don't have a physical copies of Proof Of Residence. So yesterday I pull the printer out of the cupboard to print a bill to use as proof of residence for a new SIM only to find out the damn thing is out of ink.

A couple years back I needed put my sim into an older device which didn't support nano I tried to buy a sim from either PNP or Checkers but they refused to sell it to me unless I RICAed it.

I know Rain does self RICA but I'm not sure about other networks.

Basically I'm asking is there a way for me to get a prepaid SIM without needing to get a printed copy of my Proof Of Residence?
