Hey guy's I want to buy a gift for the in laws; brand new PVR HD.

I was just wondering now, if I should't buy them a more sentimental gift etc rather than something like this, the parents loves to watch tv and dstv but I though it would be a nice gesture to give them both a PVR HD for their birthdays...

Is this the right route to go or should I choose something different? not to sure

any advice would be appreciated. :)

PS I'm not trying to be a suck up/ If been dating my gf for the last 3years. ;)

Getting ready to propose and sucking up bigtime :)

What sentimental gift did you have in mind ?

she goes with the idea, I like it to... but I'm just having thought about the other sisters in the family they are one of those people who despises everything and the husbands to :/
Run it by the gf? She'd know best.

@blu maybe a voucher or something? just like every other year with a box of chocolates :) though I'd try something different this year......

Good thing you're not buying the gift for them, then :)

They pay every month a full subscription to dstv. I don't think it would matter? Its actually about the recording function on the PVR that I'm interested in.
I don't think it is a good idea...now they have to fork out every month for Dstv, unless they already are.

they always complain about missing the shows and so... So that would be a good solution for them.

Well then go for it...great gift.

Definitely they will. But according to me they will be happy even you give them any small gift also ,it is your love they would see and not the gift. so just check your pocket and buy what will be useful for them.
