Hi Guys

My girlfriends mom is looking to buy a property privately. She has found the house and they have agreed on a price.

Can anyone tell me how this process works or who is the best person to speak to?

Get your mom to contact a convey. attourney. They can assist her in the process and even draw up the sales docs.

We bought a property privately.

The seller bought an offer to purchase template. We took that to the bank for finance and the bank appoints the attorneys (conveyance) from the approved panel to handle the sale.

We also bought our property privately. As far as I know, the seller needs to arrange all documentation, offer to purchase, etc with their conveyancing attorneys. This was how it was done with us.

I sold a Jhb residential property less than a year ago to a friend of mine. I used a conveyancing attorney of my choice.
Of course I needed to get the necessary municipal account clearances, electrical compliance certificate, etc.

You save a lot by selling privately, as there are no estate agents involved.
