Moving into a new place, getting adsl in stalled and now I need a router.

I don't even know if theres much difference in quality between different routers, so, kinda looking for info on routers and which to buy and recommendations and all those good things.

Thanks!

Picked up a D-Link 2640U from Zaps yesterday. I just gave up reading & researching - got waaaay too confused :o

So far it seems to be doing everything I'm going to need. Cost me R900-odd. If anyone can tell me why I made a mistake I'll take it back, otherwise I don't think the price was too bad...

What do you need from the router? Wireless, ADSL, VPN, ect...

Hi, need it for wireless & adsl.

Still not sure how I am going to handle the connection between the router and my pc, wireless will work and is obviously cheaper but the cable can offer a better connection? So want to play around with that abit...

What the hell is vpn? (I just play the games) ;)

you'll get alot of different opinions because people have their favourites, and myne would be linksys... never had any problems and the wifi signal is really good. just look for the one with built in adsl modem
