buying from ebay international?

has anyone bought computer hardware from ebay international ... what customs would i be paying? and any other additional costs i could pay?

You dont buy from ebay itself, you buy from sellers who list on ebay. Computer hardware is duties exempt, but you will pay vat of around 15%

lol ... i know you buy from the sellers on there ... aint that dumb (do agree at times im blonde ) .... vat is 15%????? thought 14% ... now i feel blonde ... lol ... since when did it become 15%

Just checking you know that some sellers might be reliable, and others not. Vat is 14%, but we say 15% because it's charged at value of goods X 1.1 X 14% or something like that. I'm not sure of the exact calculation but it works out at around 15%

And don't forget the handling fee.... Post office is R25 for clearance. DHL is around R80 if my memory serves me correctly (which it probably dosnt lol)
