Im trying to buy from G2a but whenever I proceed to check out, in the select location dropbox there's no South Africa. What region am I supposed to use, or can I just choose any region. PS have tried multiple sellers and they all have the same region choices

Just don't buy Russian region steam keys.

Don't select EU as it adds Tax

I am in the EU and still select US I think or which ever is not taxed and all games work fine

Although i have found www.cdkeys.com and www.instantgaming.com to be cheaper
Unless G2A has specials

Just don't buy Russian region steam keys.

Yeah make sure you get the global key. Buying a cheaper CIS or RUS key will potential get your game locked unless you use a VPN to change you geolocation but that's a whole bunch of work.
