HI, just wondered if anyone recently/ever bought a GPU through Amazon Global, if so how does Amazon's Global return policy work?(If the GPU is DOA). Considering buying the new NVIDIA GTX 980 through them, because local hardware prices are just getting to steep, and can't really compare with Amazon's low prices (incl shipping/taxes/duties).

Add importert duties and tax to those items and they will be more or less the same price, you will only save when you have a a friend traveling that can get it over here in his luggage.

Hi Goofy smurf
Thank you for the quick reply. This is the GPU i'm interested in buying http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NI5DA2E/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER . After adding tax and duties and delivery it will cost me about $661.74 (R7350,77). That's really not bad compared to the local shops that charge almost 10k for similar overclocked versions. That being said, my only concern is the warranty, does EVGA include worldwide warranties of there products?

Bear in mind that the SA Post Office is not functioning until further notice. So unless you're going to get this sent via a courier (DHL, Fedex etc.) I wouldn't bother until the strikes stop and the service is back to normal, if ever that happens.

HI saor
Amazon Global handles all import duties and delivery(via courier) on my behave. Included in the price as above mentioned

Are you serious? because that would be awesome, could grab a Moga controller finally

Yeah, I previously ordered clothes, and some small computer hardware from them. Never had any issues in regards of duties and delivery.Longest i waited for an item was about a week and a half :)

I must check it out I did not know that.

Frontosa is the distributor for EVGA products you will be able to take it to them if you have problems but you need a dealers account.

Thanks because their FAQ among others doesn't really explain it that well, last question is there a minimum (apart from free shipping over $35)?

That's great news GoofySmurf, just to bad I don't know anyone with an account. But nonetheless I can always ask around for some one that has. :)
Thank you again for all the help!

Hi RogueGhost87

I don't think free shipping applies on orders shipped here. Also don't think there is a minimum, what you can do is create an account, and fill in all your information(address etc). After that, put the desired item in your basket. Navigate to the basket page, on the right you will see there is a "Estimate your your shipping and tax" tab, click on it and it will display all the information regarding the total costs, and if the item can be shipped to SA. Alternative is to checkout the item, and just before the purchase page you can see all the required costs. Oh one more thing, payment is via credit card as far as I know, so as long as your credit provider is worldwide recognized it should be fine.

Hoped it helped :)

Ok basically got my answer from EVGA Support

"Hello,

In the event you need to return or exchange the product you will need to do so following Amazon's return policy. However for warranty you would work with EVGA. Since you are purchasing through a US channel but reside in Africa, you will need to send in the product to the EVGA Germany office office if warranty is ever needed.
Technical support and customer service are always available 24/7"

Thanks anyway for all the replies.
