Buying house. Original certificates?

When buying a house, how important is it to get the original (or at least certified copies) of all the required certificates?

Is this a legal requirement or something that may be requested by insurance?

Only recieved non-certified soft copies of some certificates.

Lapa
Pool
Electrical
Occupational
Plans.

The only thing on that list that have required "certificates" are the electrical - known as a COC.

The plans is the only other valid thing, which in turn should have the lapa and pool on it, but this isnt required, it is however a good idea.

I was led to believe otherwise. May differ from one municipality to another.

Also forgot about gas installation.

I doubt you need originals, just proof there of should something go wrong.

originals are normally collected by the transferring attorneys, you can request copies and send them off to the Insurance.
The Only ones they normally asked for was Gas.

Normally you only require gas, electric fence and electrical (an electrician can do the latter 2)

Depending on the home, the bank might ask for building plans prior to granting a bond, but it's not a given.
