Buying new cellphone. Please help with some advice.

Hi all,

Now I know it's not recommended to buy a cell phone on a monthly payment, but I have no other choice.

I'm going to post 4 links to the 4 candidates. Please could you guys help me with which one to choose. Here is what I'm looking for in a cell phone...

I definitely want a 5" screen or bigger.
Phone will only be used for checking & replying to e-mail's while I'm on the go... The occasional Whatsapp.... The occasional watching movies / tv shows in Summer when it's too hot to turn on the PC.
Very little internet surfing.
Very little gaming. If any.
I DO NOT want a phone with a big screen that has a crappy pixelated display.

I'm aiming for R199 p/m but can do R269 p/m if that phone is REALLY good.

Any of the Lumias will be really good. Cheaper Android phones tend to be slow and will never be updated.

830 is the best IMO and 640 XL second. Choose the one with the screen size you want out of the two

I got a Lumia 640 dual sim this week. Really great phone. Put Win 10 on it and it is very smooth. Cell C R189 / m.

640XL or 830. I wouldn't go for the older gen stuff.

Why not go for a tablet? I got a Windows tablet for R1300 and the display is brilliant, 8" 1280*800.

Very good. Very decent screen. 720p which is a nice resolution. Is it worth R199 what you will be paying? I would most likely not buy it for that price not that anything is wrong I just think you might get better at that price. For me @ R99 per month it was a no brainer

Makes little sense to get a 5"ish phone primarily to watch movies so either go phablet or 3G tablet.

I'd go for this deal from TB. 575mb to use p/m as well.

I would take the standard Lumia 640 LTE, not the XL version due to the improved ppi on the 5" model. Camera is very decent and the phone feels responsive.

The Xperia M4 Aqua is the better one whilst costing a bit more. Sony is committed to micro Android updates plus you get the added benefit of a large screen and 2 day battery life.

I'm currently using the E4 which is R89pm on MTNChoice 50 + 100mb data and that phone whilst being 540p, has a high pixel density so you never find yourself looking at annoying pixels. Also I've never found 1gb of RAM to be too little on the device as there's hardly any lag.
