I was just thinking.. instead of buying ADSL via engen maybe someone should set up a cell sms way of purchasing vouchers :) might be more popular as u don't have to drive out to get it only issue would be how much cell companies charge for it

well cell currency? seems to be expanding rapidly (Tho i don't like abuse of services like game show, silly charge continually and raffle types, but this seems a nice apt use with vouchers)

I don't think that cell currency will work (referring to premium sms). The revenue generated from premium sms is only +/- 45 to 50%. For example a shortcode sms on the R30 band, the client (isp) will only get around R15 to R16 and the rest goes to the network.

They could probably set it up in such a way that the money gets debited from your bank account when u request bandwidth.

That would seem a bit risky. I'd want some serious security on that.

When signing up they could make you sign a document to authorise the debit order & they should only accept sms requests from your cell no.

And if you lose your cell? Or your sim card is cloned?

Or they'll have to add another prepaid option to the existing ones on the Wizzit system - which'll return you the username and password of the 1/2/3Gb adsl account.
