good question , another question can my player be attacked by another player or do I have to accept a challenge first ( ala star wars galaxies)

Your account is then frozen, and you will need to buy more game time to resume. Some people have left the games for years and then come back. The account is never deleted. (atleast not yet)
A couple of options here...
Wow is a massive war of horde vs alliance, so all servers have an aspect of player vs player content. The degree of conflict is chosen by you, you can choose to play on a PVP server where you are always PVP active and someone from the opposition faction can attack you or you can play on a PvE server (player vs environment) where you wont be PVP active the whole time but can become active by typing "/pvp".
All servers though have dedicated battle grounds where players can fight the opposition faction in 10v10 to 40v40 battles. There are also some arena style fighting where you can take on even your own faction in a knock out style fight.
Finally some friendly pvp is also possible through the "/duel" command where you can attack friendly players if they agree. You can't kill one another though.

dont do it, I am still playing after 3 years everyday. Get someone to send you a copy of their wow game so you dont have to worry about patches and all. and then just upgrade your account online. & dont go allie, they suck

Get wow and both expansions register it in my name or a friends name whom you trust more and let said person create a Death Knight on there account and transfer it to yours WHAM BAM instant level 55 that you can use to get gold for your new toons

I am thinking of resuming my WOW career again... I have just upgraded to a 4Mbps line and will be sharing the line with another user (also have 3GB unshaped account). If there are 2 users connecting through the router to the WOW EU servers (i.e. Myself and my brother), will we both be able to play at the same time through the line without any degrading in the perfomance of the game?

Lol i got 2 ppl on a 384 line no problems. You could get 10 ppl on a 4mb.

Doubt this is a horde vs alliance thread, but only horde players feel the need to promote their side at every opportunity they get. I play both sides, but will defend the alliance any day

sorry, and I might get flamed here, but the only advice i can give you is to either not play it, or learn to have self control and balance.

hehe... it's for growth. For when my wife tells me to make the choice, it's me or WOW, I will say, if you can't beat me, join me (I'll let you know how it goes, hehe, I am guessing not to well).

As with any games or hobbies, too much of a good thing can be bad. As Keeper said "learn to have self control and balance" thats all
