Buying my first PS3

On on the verge of bying a PS3 but before I do...

Do you guys know if the latest hardware upgraded version (CECH-2100) of the PS3 is available in SA?

No idea, but who cares? Just go buy the damn thing and enjoy it :p :D
 
only advantage is a cooler running chip, less power consumption.

hmmmm, you see now.....more efficient hardware + price drop is very temting, hahaha

Would be nice to get the latest version just from a logical bying perspective. But if I cant, the current one will be finding a new home soon!

Is this new model the one that comes included with an HDMI cable?
 
Join the BT Games facebook group. They are having a console sale this week but info will be posted on the facebook group page. Last Friday was the PSP's that had R500 off.
 
Good news, just spoke to BT Games. The guy was very helpfull and went through the effort to open a box and chech the CECH-2100 code.

They have the latest ones, CECH 2104B. He explained we get our consoles from Europe and there is only a 2 week delay.

So anyone you bought a console not long after the upgrade should be smiling. Maybe check your console or box that it came in and verify a CECH - 2100 or higher number.

Well when was the upgrade? I bought mine about 3 months ago I thinks.

I heard about the upgrade at the end of April. Best is to search the web to find exact date.

See if you can find that code on your console?
